Meghan trained at the Paul Mitchell Academy excelling in cuts and color. Meghans friendliness and contagious laugh will make you feel at home- visit Meghan for an uplifting breath of fresh air (or hair). She loves ombre and balayage and she excells at hollywood hilights.
Kunita is our Aveda specialist from Minneapolis (Aveda's Headquarters). Kunita loves giving makeovers using the Aveda hair color and makeup. She is great at eyelash extensions. Enjoy a new balayage/color melt with Kunita. Her friendly smile and calming demeanor will leave you so relaxed.
Rachida has returned to Wavelengths after working internationally. Rachida specializes in facials,massage and full body waxing. She is also a great stylist. Call early-she is also a mom!
William is a certified Ouidad stylist who can make your curls come alive and behave. He has worked in New York and has extensive training and is a master haircutter.
Zuri is a sassy, fun loving stylist. She is originally from Durham, NC. In 2011, she graduated from the illustrious Spelman College located in Atlanta, GA with her BA in Sociology. She is one of our certified Ouidad sqecialists and is an absolute joy to be around. She specializes in precision cuts - men and women, highlights, relaxers, keratin, Brazilian blowouts and bridal up dos. Zuri is also a real estate agent with Urban Durham.
Donna has primarily worked at Wavelengths for 15+ years but has lived in the East and West coast areas as well! She is a New York native and we love the city-girl northern flare that she brings to our salon atmosphere. Donna lived in Los Angeles, California for three years and finally decided to replant her roots in North Carolina for good. Donna specializes in cuts and perms, so come by for a thorough hair cutting treatment and/or body wave.
Sherry lives in Durham and has been hairstyling for 30+ years, not to mention she has owned Wavelengths Salon for 19 years! With Sherry's many years of experience she has several specialties: she is a hair color technician, and loves creating dimensional and natural hair styles on her clients. Sherry is fabulous at the Ouidad cut for our kinky-curly haired clients. Sherry is certified to even teach Ouidad classes because of her high experience level. If you need help solving a hair issue with the right products, Sherry can solve your dilemma! In the salon Sherry loves getting to use her creativity while making the perfect updo and makeup combination, for more formal events and weddings. Sherry takes pride in the simple joys at the salon. It's a good day for Sherry when she gets to catch up with her clients and make them smile at the end of their appointment. She lives with her husband Doug and their four dogs and enjoys spending time with her son, Sean.
We love Amira and her exotic flare, as she was born in Kenya. She never ceases to surprise our team: She has a black belt in karate, loves gardening at home, and taking care of her honey bees and chickens! Amira has many specialties when it comes to styling: color, hilites, cuts (for all ages), perms, and hair straightening/smoothing. Besides being an excellent hairdresser, Amira is a qualified & practicing Shaman (energetic & spiritual healer).
